Key findings: P5041.1 - Selected building statistics of the private sector as reported by local government institutions, February 2015
Building Statistics
The real value of recorded building plans passed (at constant 2010 prices) decreased by 9,6% (-R1 058,9 million) year-on-year during January to February 2015. Non-residential buildings fell by R1 386,8 million (-50,2%).
The real value of buildings reported as completed (at constant 2010 prices) decreased by 14,7% (-R947,5 million) year-on-year during January to February 2015. Decreases were reported for additions and alterations (-36,4% or R547,7 million), non-residential buildings (-14,2% or -R250,3 million) and residential buildings (-4,7% or -R149,5 million).
