Building Statistics
The real value of recorded building plans passed (at constant 2010 prices) increased by 4,2% (R3 076,3 million) year-on-year in 2014. Residential buildings (13,7% or R4 422,2 million) was the only positive contributor to the increase.
The real value of buildings reported as completed (at constant 2010 prices) decreased by 5,2% (-R2 436,9 million) year-on-year in 2014. Additions and alterations (-27,9% or R3 055,5 million) was the only negative contributor to the decrease.
