Building Statistics The real value of recorded building plans passed (at constant 2010 prices) increased by 1,5% (R534,5 million) year-on-year during January to June 2014. Residential buildings (8,2% or R1 289,5 million) was the only positive contributor to the increase. The real value of buildings reported as completed (at constant 2010 prices) decreased by 15,4% (-R3 493,3 million) year-on-year during January to June 2014. Decreases were reported for additions and alterations (-32,7% or -R1 907,9 million), non-residential buildings (-15,9% or -R978,0 million) and residential buildings (-5,7% or -R607,5 million).
