Electricity generation (production) increased by 1,4% year-on-year in December 2017. Total electricity generation was 1,0% higher in 2017 compared with 2016. The 1,0% increase in annual electricity production followed an increase of 1,0% in 2016 and a decrease of 1,9% in 2015. Seasonally adjusted electricity generation decreased by 0,6% in December 2017 compared with November 2017. This followed month-on-month changes of 0,8% in November 2017 and 0,9% in October 2017. Seasonally adjusted electricity generation increased by 1,6% in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared with the third quarter of 2017.

Electricity distribution (consumption) increased by 1,0% year-on-year in December 2017. Total electricity consumption was 0,5% higher in 2017 compared with 2016. The 0,5% increase in annual electricity consumption followed a decrease of 1,0% in 2016 and a decrease of 1,3% in 2015. Seasonally adjusted electricity distribution increased by 0,2% month-on-month in December 2017, following month-on-month changes of 0,5% in November 2017 and 0,8% in October 2017. Seasonally adjusted electricity distribution increased by 1,0% in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared with the third quarter of 2017.
