Key findings: P4141 - Electricity generated and available for distribution, May 2011

In May 2011, the actual volume of electricity consumed increased by 2,5% (504 Gigawatt-hours) year-on-year. Electricity consumption for the three months ended May 2011 increased by 2,2% (1 317 Gigawatt-hours) compared with the three months ended May 2010. Seasonally adjusted electricity consumption increased by 1,4% for the three months ended May 2011 compared with the three months ended February 2011.

In May 2011, the actual estimated electricity production rose by 3,4% year-on-year. The estimated production of electricity for the three months ended May 2011 increased by 2,5% compared with the three months ended May 2010. Seasonally adjusted electricity production in the three months ended May 2011 increased by 1,0% when compared with the three months ended February 2011.
