Key findings: P4141 - Electricity generated and available for distribution, September 2009

Electricity consumption after seasonal adjustment in September 2009 increased by 0,8% compared with August 2009 and by 2,6% in the three months ended September 2009 compared with the previous three months. However, the actual estimated consumption of electricity was 1,7% lower in September 2009 compared with September 2008 and 4,5% lower in the first nine months of 2009 compared with the first nine months of 2008

Estimated seasonally adjusted production of electricity for the three months ended September 2009 increased by 3,1% compared with the previous three months. The actual estimated total production of electricity in September 2009 decreased marginally by 0,4% compared with September 2008, the smallest annual decrease for 2009 thus far.
