IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DATA ECOSYSTEMS

The utilisation of production capacity by large manufacturers was 77,9% in February 2023 compared with 77,8% in February 2022, an increase of 0,1 of a percentage point.

Three of the ten manufacturing divisions showed increases in utilisation of production capacity in February 2023 compared with February 2022. Increases were recorded in the following divisions:

• food and beverages (1,4 percentage points);
• petroleum, chemical products, rubber and plastic products (0,5 of a percentage point); and
• motor vehicles, parts and accessories and other transport equipment (0,5 of a percentage point).

The highest rates of utilisation of production capacity were recorded in the following divisions in February 2023:

• furniture and ‘other’ manufacturing (80,3%);
• food and beverages (79,9%);
• wood and wood products, paper, publishing and printing (79,6%); and
• electrical machinery (79,5%).
