Key findings: P3041.2 - Manufacturing: Production and sales, July 2009
Manufacturing production decreases at a slower rate
The seasonally adjusted manufacturing production for the three months ended July 2009 decreased by 0,3% compared with the previous three months, better than the 3,0% quarter-on-quarter decrease in June 2009. Lower production levels were reported by seven of the ten manufacturing divisions during the latest three months.
The decrease was driven mainly by lower production in the wood and wood products, paper, publishing and printing division (contributing -0,5 of a percentage point), the basic iron and steel, non-ferrous metal products, metal products and machinery division and the furniture and
