Key findings: P3041.2 - Manufacturing: Production and sales, June 2006
The estimated manufacturing production for the first six months of 2006 increased notably by 4,5% compared with the first six months of 2005.
In addition, the estimated seasonally adjusted manufacturing production for the second quarter of 2006 increased by 1,5% compared with the first quarter of 2006, which is lower than the growth of 2,9% reported during the same period in 2005. .
The estimated total value of sales of manufactured products at current prices for the second quarter of 2006 increased by 4,0% (+R8 965 million), after seasonal adjustment, compared with the first quarter of 2006.
