Key findings: P2041 - Mining: Production and sales, March 2007
The total mining production for the first quarter of 2007 increased by 1,7% compared with the first quarter of 2006. However, the actual total mining production for March 2007 decreased by 2,2% compared with March 2006.
The seasonally adjusted value of mineral sales at current prices for the three months ended February 2007 reflected a decrease of 2,8% compared with the previous three months. However, the actual value of mineral sales at current prices for the three months ended February 2007 increased by 36,9% compared with the three months ended February 2006.
