Key findings: P0351 - Tourism and Migration, June 2021
In June 2021, 732 222 travellers (arrivals, departures, and
transits) passed through South Africa’s ports of entry/exit. They were made up
of 237 869 South African residents and 494 353 foreign travellers.
Foreign arrivals, 253 857 were made up of 39 952 non-visitors and 213 905
visitors. The visitors consisted of 35 178 same-day visitors and 178 727
overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as
follows: 24 548 from overseas; 150 363 from the SADC countries; 3 486
from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 330 tourists was
classified as unspecified.
