IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DATA ECOSYSTEMS

In September 2020, 219 658 travellers (arrivals, departures, and transits) passed through South Africa’s ports of entry/exit. They were made up of 70 391 South African residents and 149  267 foreign travellers. Foreign travellers were made up of 75 273 arrivals, 73 909 departures and 85 transits. The breakdown of the foreign arrivals by region is as follows: 2 084 from overseas countries; 72 905 from the SADC countries; 185 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 99 foreign arrivals was classified as unspecified.
