IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DATA ECOSYSTEMS

In June 2020, 192 376 travellers (arrivals, departures, and transits) passed through South Africa’s ports of entry/exit. They were made up of 64 674 South African residents and 127 702 foreign travellers. Foreign travellers were made up 62 841 arrivals, 64 721 departures and 140 were on transit. The breakdown of the foreign arrivals by region is as follows: 549 from overseas; 62 204 from the SADC countries; 49 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 39 foreign arrivals was classified as unspecified.
