IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DATA ECOSYSTEMS

In May 2020, 153 450 travellers (arrivals, departures, and transits) passed through South Africa’s ports of entry/exit. They were made up of 49 414 South African residents and 104 036 foreign travellers. Foreign travellers were made up 49 481 arrivals, 54 551 departures and 4 were on transit. The breakdown of the foreign arrivals by region is as follows: 315 from overseas; 49 134 from the SADC countries; 3 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 13 foreign arrivals was classified as unspecified.
