IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DATA ECOSYSTEMS

In April 2020, 97 425 travellers (arrivals, departures, and transits) passed through South Africa’s ports of entry/exit. They were made up of 31 014 South African residents and 66 411 foreign travellers. Foreign travellers were made up 29 341 arrivals, 37 068 deparures and 2 were on transit. The breakdown of the foreign arrivals by region is as follows: 507 from overseas; 28 829 from the SADC countries; 3 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 2 foreign arrivals was classified as unspecified.
