In October 2015, there were 1 269 749 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 97 324 non-visitors and 1 172 425 visitors. The visitors consisted of 423 864 same-day visitors and 748 561 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 208 020 from overseas; 525 305 from the SADC countries; 14 073 from other African countries and the country of residence of 1 163 tourists was classified as unspecified.
