In September 2015, there were 1 226 735 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 88 414 non-visitors and 1 138 321 visitors. The visitors consisted of 421 571 same-day visitors and 716 750 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 166 053 from overseas; 534 815 from the SADC countries; 14 810 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 1 072 tourists was classified as unspecified.
