In July 2015, there were 1 255 430 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 90 866 non-visitors and 1 164 546 visitors. The visitors consisted of 431 673 same-day visitors and 732 891 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 162 733 from overseas; 555 589 from the SADC countries; 13 550 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 1 019 tourists was classified as unspecified.
