In March 2015, there were 1 235 571 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 85 931 non-visitors and 1 149 640 visitors. The visitors consist of 416 399 same-day visitors and 733 241 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 205 909 from overseas; 510 331 from the SADC countries; 15 863 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 1 138 tourists was classified as unspecified.
