In January 2015, there were 1 399 328 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 102 078 non-visitors and 1 297 250 visitors. The visitors consist of 419 538 same-day visitors and 877 712 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 184 864 from overseas; 678 068 from the SADC countries; 13 967 from "other" African countries and 813 tourists was classified as unspecified.
