In October 2014, there were 1 233 249 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 32 205 non-visitors and 1 201 044 visitors. The visitors consist of 380 369 same-day visitors and 820 675 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 208 263 from overseas; 596 582 from the SADC countries; 14 267 from other African countries. The country of residence of 1 563 tourists was classified as unspecified.
