In August 2014, there were 1 302 154 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 43 354 non-visitors and 1 258 800 visitors. The visitors consist of 430 269 same-day visitors and 828 531 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 186 801 from overseas; 623 653 from the SADC countries; 16 761 from other African countries. The country of residence of 1 316 tourists was classified as unspecified.
