In June 2014, there were 1 108 229 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 36 952 non-visitors and 1 071 277 visitors. The visitors consist of 398 551 same-day visitors and 672 726 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 130 410 from overseas; 527 733 from the SADC countries; 13 321 from other African countries. The country of residence of 1 262 tourists was classified as unspecified.
