In April 2014, there were 1 308 531 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 42 411 non-visitors and 1 266 120 visitors. The visitors consist of 426 020 same-day visitors and 840 100 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 189 943 from overseas; 633 598 from the SADC countries; 15 358 from other African countries. The country of residence of 1 201 tourists was classified as unspecified.
