In February 2014, there were 1 160 486 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 56 809 non-visitors and 1 103 677 visitors. The visitors consisted of 369 555 same-day visitors and 734 122 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 221 945 from overseas; 495 801 from the SADC countries; 15 659 from other African countries. The country of residence of 717 tourists was classified as unspecified.
