Key findings: P0351 - Tourism and Migration, August 2013
In August 2013, there were 1 321 184 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 68 974 non-visitors and 1 252 210 visitors. The visitors consist of 423 189 same-day visitors and 829 021 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 230 374 from overseas; 575 366 from the SADC countries; 21 666 from `other` African countries. The country of residence of 1 615 tourists were classified as unspecified.
