In July 2013, there were 1 289 022 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 70 851 non-visitors and 1 218 171 visitors. The visitors consist of 429 003 same-day visitors and 789 168 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 204 120 from overseas; 564 460 from the SADC countries; 19 043 from `other` African countries. The country of residence of 1 545 tourists were classified as unspecified.
