In September 2012, there were 1 148 598 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 61 379 non-visitors and 1 087 219 visitors. The visitors consist of 321 821 same-day visitors and 765 398 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 208 203 from overseas; 535 699 from the SADC countries; 19 394 from `other` African countries and 2 102 unspecified.
