In July 2012, there were 1 195 266 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 64 599 non-visitors and 1 130 667 visitors. The visitors consist of 337 422 same-day visitors and 793 245 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 206 656 from overseas; 567 269 from the SADC countries; 17 321 from `other` African countries and 1 999 unspecified.
