In May 2012, there were 1 067 556 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 60 856 non-visitors and 1 006 700 visitors. The visitors consist of 314 654 same-day visitors and 692 046 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 168 796 from overseas; 505 027 from the SADC countries; 15 903 from `other` African countries and 2 320 unspecified.
