In April 2012, there were 1 157 430 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 60 114 non-visitors and 1 097 316 visitors. The visitors consist of 294 482 same-day visitors and 802 834 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 195 934 from overseas; 587 913 from the SADC countries; 16 782 from `other` African countries and 2 205 unspecified.
