In November 2010, there were 1 003 953 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 14 762 non-visitors and 989 191 visitors. The visitors consist of 309 287 same-day visitors and 679 904 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 197 930 from overseas; 464 444 from SADC countries; 14 883 from 'other' African countries and 2 647 unspecified.
