In November 2009, there were 864 808 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 30 754 non-visitors and 834 054 visitors. The visitors consist of 214 789 same-day visitors and 619 265 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 181 923 from overseas; 420 898 from SADC countries; 13 906 from `other` African countries and 2 538 unspecified.
