In June 2009, there were 718 614 foreign arrivals to South Africa. The arrivals were made up of 27 772 non-visitors and 690 842 visitors. The visitors consist of 185 411 same-day visitors and 505 431 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of the tourists by region is as follows: 126 857 from overseas; 364 645 from SADC countries; 11 635 from `other` African countries and 2 294 unspecified.
