The total number of foreign travellers who visited South Africa from Africa, overseas and unspecified countries, arriving through all ports of entry during July 2007 was 778 725. The July 2007 figure represents an increase of 8,4% as compared with the July 2006 figure of 718 649. During July 2007, the most common mode of travel used by foreign travellers arriving in South Africa was road, involving 555 027 (71,3%) travellers while the total number of foreign travellers departing, road constituted the most common mode of travel 457 394 (72,4%).
