IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DATA ECOSYSTEMS

In July 2024, 2 395 815 travellers (arrivals, departures, and transits) passed through South Africa’s ports of entry/exit. They comprised 702 205 South African residents and 1 693 610 foreign travellers. Foreign arrivals, 922 151 comprised 23 479 non-visitors and 898 672 visitors. The visitors consisted of 199 106 same-day visitors and 699 566 overnight visitors (tourists). The breakdown of tourists by region is as follows 152 082 from overseas; 534 085 from SADC countries; 12 538 from 'other' African countries and the country of residence of 861 tourists were classified as unspecified.
