The national household travel survey is aimed at providing a better understanding of the transport needs and behavior of households; the costs of transport; attitudes towards transport services and facilities and to measure the availability, ownership and use of cars. The first NHTS was conducted in 2003 and the second survey was conducted during the period January to March 2013 in partnership with the Department of Transport
