Publication description:
The quarterly survey of average monthly earnings (AME) measures average monthly earnings of wage and salary earners (excluding those employed in agriculture). It collects employment and earnings data from a sample of employing businesses taken from the business sampling frame (BSF). The data is used to estimate the average monthly earnings of employees in South Africa. Estimates of average monthly earnings are available for total employees and are classified by industry.
