Key findings: P0151 - Contract Price Adjustment Provisions Work Group Indices (CPAP), December 2016

In December 2016, month-on-month percentage changes in the work group indices ranged from -1,3% for work group 122 to 7,6% for work group 162. The Consumer Price Index for December 2016 increased by 0,4% month-on-month.

The four indices reflecting monthly percentage changes mainly due to factors other than the headline CPI are:

  • Work group 162: The monthly percentage increase of 7,6% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 14,1% monthly increase in SEIFSA Price of Copper 7,90mm Rod, which accounts for approximately 45,0% of the work group 162 index.
  • Work group 172: The monthly percentage increase of 7,2% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 15,1% monthly increase in SEIFSA indices for Metal prices – Copper RCP/ Metric Ton, which accounts for approximately 40,0% of the work group 172 index.
  • Work group 160: The monthly percentage increase of 5,5% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 14,1% monthly increase in SEIFSA Price of Copper 7,90mm Rod, which accounts for approximately 35,0% of the work group 160 index.
  • Work group 122: The monthly percentage decrease of 1,3% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 2,8% monthly decrease in the PPI for concrete roof tiles, which accounts for approximately 40,0% of the work group 122 index.
