Monthly changes in the CPAP indices

In July 2017, month-on-month percentage changes in the work group indices ranged from -2,5% for work group 146 to 1,3% for work group 129.  

Noteworthy changes in the results for July 2017 are as follows:

  • Work group 129: The monthly percentage increase of 1,3% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 3,7% monthly increase in the PPI for Drop in ceiling tiles - gypsum, which accounts for 20,0% of the index, and a 3,7% monthly increase in the PPI for Drop in ceiling tiles - masonite, which accounts for 15,0% of the index.
  • Work group 122: The monthly percentage increase of 1,2% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 1,4% monthly increase in the PPI for concrete roof tiles, which accounts for 40,0% of the index, and a 1,4% monthly increase in the PPI for Fibre cement roof sheets, which accounts for 40,0% of the index.
  • Work group 148: The monthly percentage decrease of 1,3% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 1,7% monthly decrease in the PPI for copper pipes, which accounts for 20,0% of the index, and a 9,1% monthly decrease in the PPI for PVC pipes, which accounts for 10,0% of the index.
  • Work group 146: The monthly percentage decrease of 2,5% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 9,1% monthly decrease in the PPI for PVC pipes, which accounts for 30,0% of the index.

Revisions to Work Groups 160 and 180 in June 2017 were due to changes in SEIFSA indices for Zinc.
