Monthly changes in the CPAP indices

In October 2016, month-on-month percentage changes in the work group indices ranged from -1,3% for work group 162 to 2,8% for work group 130. The Consumer Price Index for October 2016 increased by 0,5% month-on-month.

The two indices reflecting monthly percentage changes mainly due to factors other than the headline CPI are:

  • Work group 130: The monthly percentage increase of 2,8% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 5,0% monthly increase in the PPI for Vinyl floor tiles, which accounts for approximately 27,0%, and a 5,0% monthly increase in the PPI for Vinyl sheeting, which accounts for approximately 27,0% of the work group 130 index.
  • Work group 162: The monthly percentage decrease of 1,3% reflected by this index was mainly due to an 8,0% monthly decrease in SEIFSA for 99,7 EC Grade Rod – Aluminium products, which accounts for approximately 25,0% of the work group 162 index.
