Key findings: P0151 - Contract Price Adjustment Provisions Work Group Indices (CPAP), August 2016

In August 2016, month-on-month percentage changes in the work group indices ranged from -0,9% for work group 140 to 3,0% for work group 113. The Consumer Price Index for August 2016 decreased by 0,1% month-on-month.

The four indices reflecting monthly percentage changes mainly due to factors other than the headline CPI are:

  • Work group 113: The monthly percentage increase of 3,0% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 4,0% monthly increase in SEIFSA for Strand for Post Tensioning Application, which accounts for approximately 55,0% of the work group 113 index.
  • Work group 120: The monthly percentage increase of 2,9% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 17,7% monthly increase in the PPI for Joint Sealant, which accounts for approximately 12,0% of the work group 120 index.
  • Work group 141: The monthly percentage increase of 1,1% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 2,6% monthly increase in the PPI for Stainless steel products – flat rolled, which accounts for approximately 50,0% of the work group 141 index.
  • Work group 140: The monthly percentage decrease of 0,9% reflected by this index was mainly due to a 1,5% monthly decrease in the PPI Extruded Aluminium – distributor level, which accounts for approximately 60,0% of the work group 140 index.
