Key findings: P0142.1 - Producer Price Index (PPI), January 2007
Annual percentage change in the PPI is higher at + 9,8% at January 2007 (i.e. the PPI at January 2007 compared with that at January 2006).
The Production Price Index (PPI) for all commodities for South African consumption shows an annual rate of change of 9,8% at January 2007 (i.e. the PPI at January 2007 compared with that at January2006). This rate is 0,5 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of 9,3% at December 2006 (i.e. the PPI at December 2006 compared with that at December 2005).
From December 2006 to January 2007 the PPI for all commodities for South African consumption increased by + 0,4%.
