Key findings: P0142.1 - Producer Price Index (PPI), September 2006
Annual percentage change in the PPI is lower at + 9,0% at September 2006 (i.e. the PPI at September 2006 compared with that at September 2005)
The Production Price Index (PPI) for all commodities for South African consumption shows an annual rate of change of + 9,0% at September 2006 (i.e. the PPI at September 2006 compared with that at September 2005). This rate is 0,2 of a percentage point lower than the corresponding annual rate of + 9,2% at August 2006 i.e. the PPI at August 2006 compared with that at August 2005)
From August 2006 to September 2006 the PPI for all commodities for South African consumption decreased by 0,7%.
