Key findings: P0142.1 - Producer Price Index (PPI), August 2006
Annual percentage change in the PPI is higher at + 9,2% at August 2006 (i.e. the PPI at August 2006 compared with that at August 2005)
The Production Price Index (PPI) for all commodities for South African consumption shows an annual rate of change of + 9,2% at August 2006 (i.e. the PPI at August 2006 compared with that at August 2005). This rate is 1,1 percentage points higher than the corresponding annual rate of + 8,1% at July 200 i.e. the PPI at July 2006 compared with that at July 2005)
From July 2006 to August 2006 the PPI for all commodities for South African consumption increased by 1,5%.
