KEY FINDINGS AS AT FEBRUARY 2006

Annual percentage change in the PPI remained unchanged at + 5,5% at February 2006 (i.e. the PPI at February 2006 compared with that at February 2005)

The Production Price Index (PPI) for all commodities for South African consumption shows an annual rate of change of + 5,5% at February 2006 (i.e. the PPI at February 2006 compared with that at February 2005). This rate is the same as the corresponding annual rate of + 5,5% at January 2006 (i.e. the PPI at January 2006 compared with that at January 2005)

From January 2006 to February 2006 the PPI for all commodities for South African consumption increased by 0,2%.
