Key findings: P0142.1 - Producer Price Index (PPI), September 2005
Annual percentage change in the PPI is higher at + 4,6% at September 2005 (i.e. the PPI at September 2005 compared with that at September 2004)
The Production Price Index (PPI) for all commodities for South African consumption shows an annual rate of change of + 4,6% at September 2005 (i.e. the PPI at September 2005 compared with that at September 2004). This rate is 0,4 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of + 4,2% at August 2005 (i.e. the PPI at August 2005 compared with that at August 2004).
From August 2005 to September 2005 the PPI for all commodities for South African consumption decreased by 0,5%.
