Key findings: P0142.1 - Producer Price Index (PPI), May 2005
Annual percentage change in the PPI is higher at + 2,4% at May 2005 (i.e. the PPI at May 2005 compared with that at May 2004)
The Production Price Index (PPI) for all commodities for South African consumption shows an annual rate of change of + 2,4% at May 2005 (i.e. the PPI at May 2005 compared with that at May 2004). This rate is 0,6 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of + 1,8% at April 2005 (i.e. the PPI at April 2005 compared with that at April 2004).
From April 2005 to May 2005 the PPI for all commodities for South African consumption increased by 0,5%.
