The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas in May 2012 compared with that in May 2011) was 5,7% at May 2012. This rate was 0,4 of a percentage point lower than the corresponding annual rate of 6,1% in April 2012 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in April 2012 compared with that in April 2011).

From April 2012 to May 2012 the Consumer Price Index for all urban increased by 0,1%.
