The headline inflation rate in January 2012 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in January 2012 compared with that at January 2011) was 6,3%

The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas in January 2012 compared with that in January 2011) was 6,3% at January 2012. This rate was 0,2 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of 6,1% in December 2011 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in December 2011 compared with that in December 2010).

From December 2011 to January 2012 the Consumer Price Index for all urban increased by 0,6%.
